Wings of Fire Theory: The Secret Assassin

So, I came up with a random Wings of Fire theory that I decided to post here. All I'm going to say is, Starflight better watch out.

The Secret Assassin

My theory is that before (spoiler alert) the volcano exploded in Book Four, The Dark Secret, an assassination plot was underway. And I think it was Flame who was planning to murder Starflight. The poor guy, first Icicle and now this.
Why do I think this? Well, there is evidence in The Dark Secret that Flame went down to the dungeons were Deathbringer was being kept and asked how to become an assassin. Why would you ask to become an assassin unless you wanted to kill someone? Then there was the drama with Viper stabbing him and almost dying from SandWing poison. So, you know, he didn't really have time. And by process of elimination, you can get a pretty good idea who it is.
There are a few that Flame hates the most. Viper, Squid, Ochre, Fatespeaker, Morrowseer, and Starflight. He probably wouldn't want to kill Ochre. He doesn't like him, but probably not enough to go asking Deathbringer how to become an assassin about. I'm not sure if that was before or after Squid left and Viper fell into the lava, but he doesn't seem to get so riled up about them he wants to kill them, so you can cross them off the list. Then there's Morrowseer, although Flame has a very slim chance of actually killing him. That leaves Fatespeaker and Starflight. Correct me if I'm wrong (it's been a while since I read Book 4), but I think that Flame glared at Starflight while he was exiting the dungeons. It might have just been a mutual glare at everything the world has ever done to him, but I think it was directed at Starflight. Before that, Morrowseer had ordered the false prophecy dragonets to kill Starflight, and that ended up with Flame and Ochre in the dungeon for a night. If Moon's brief glimpse inside his mind wasn't enough, I think that Flame would harbor a pretty deep grudge against Starflight for that. Although Flame might have been trying to become an assassin for the joy of killing dragons, I think it's more probable that he was out to kill Starflight. If you find anything wrong with this theory, feel free to tell me.
