Fire Islands: Chapter Four: The Fire Islands

Chapter Four The Fire Islands     The dragonet peeked out from under the dragon's wings. "Flicker! They're the Boulder Dragons!"     The dragon frowned. "Don't be silly, Embers. The Boulder Dragons aren't real."     Wriggling out from under the older dragon's wings, the dragonet matched her frown. "What else could they be? I bet Lightning would believe me."     "Lightning believes everything you say," the dragon retorted. She turned back to the founders of the Jade Mountain Academy. Her gaze carefully combed each of them in turn, lingering on Glory and Sunny. "Well, whoever they are, they need help. Go get Blueberry, and notify Queen Shining immediately."     The dragonet did a little bounce. "What if they're a new type of Glowsnake?"     The dragon raised her eyebrow. "They certainly aren't snakes, and I don't think even he could convince dragons."     Nodding, the red and golden drag...

Fire Islands: Chapter Three: Discovering Embers

Chapter Three Discovering Embers     Clay gently lifted Sunny and wrapped his wings around her. He and Tsunami exchanged worried glances. "You think she'll be all right?" asked Tsunami.     "I hope so," replied Clay with a sigh. "Although she doesn't look very good."     Tsunami nodded reluctantly and they set off between the jagged boulders. "Glory!" called Tsunami. "Starflight?" No answer.     Clay adjusted his grip on Sunny as a shadow fell over them. They looked up to see the tallest mountain in sight looming over them. "I have a feeling that this is where Starflight and Glory are. It seems to match with our luck so far."     Tsunami snorted and they began to climb the mountain. Its rocky trails were treacherous and at times they had to hug the walls for fear of falling. Clay tightened his hold on the golden SandWing and she leaned closer against him.     "I think it's time to find out where we are," ...

Fire Islands: Chapter Two: Awakened

Chapter Two Awakened     Tsunami opened her eyes to bright sunlight. Gulls cried overhead and the sound of waves sounded close by her. Where was she? She raised her head. Her wings were sprawled at an awkward angle beside her, and she was half in the water. She struggled to her feet. It was a beach with golden sand and a mountain range behind her. No one was in sight. "Clay? Sunny? Glory? Starflight?" Her calls went unanswered.     Tsunami frowned and started along the shore. Mountains. I'm in a mountain range, so probably SkyWing territory.  "Hello? Can someone take me to Queen Ruby?" she called. No answer. She shivered. The silence was uncanny. There were the gulls, but they sounded more like they were prophesying doom than offering comfort. There! A flash of gold caught Tsunami's eye, but when she dug it out of the sand she found it was some weird golden coin. She growled in frustration and threw it back onto the shore. She looked to her right. The sand s...

Fire Islands: Chapter One: The Storm

Just a little word here before I start chapter one. You may notice that my chapters increase in length as I go on. That's not intentional, that just happens sometimes when I start a story. Okay? Good. Glad you understand. One more thing, this contains spoilers for many of the books. I recommend finishing book thirteen before reading this. Chapter One The Storm     The former dragonets of destiny circled in the air above the sparkling sea. The wind blew in their faces and each one of them knew that the others were as happy as themselves to be on break. "We've been teaching at the Jade Mountain Academy for forever!" complained Tsunami. "It's been one disaster after another!"     "No it hasn't," protested Starflight. "Besides the minor drawbacks of Sora trying to kill Icicle, Icicle trying to kill everyone, Darkstalker rising and trying to kill the entire IceWing population, Queen Wasp trying to kill the LeafWings, the Lost Continent be...

Fire Islands: Introduction and Prologue

This blog is made up of fan fiction novellas from the series Wings of Fire  by Tui T. Sutherland. This is my first post, so don't judge too harshly. Also, this is my mom's account so don't expect her other posts to look like this one. The Fire Islands Acknowledgements and stuff: This is a fan fiction novella based off of the Wings of Fire  series by Tui T. Sutherland. The founders of the Jade Mountain Academy, the Jade Mountain Academy, Pyrrhia, Pantala, the dragon tribes, and other characters I may mention, are not mine. So please don't sue me. However, I did come up with the Fire Islands, Venom-Spitter, and the SunWing population. If you have come up with those or know someone who had a similar idea, I'm not trying to steal it from you. I just thought of them myself. Okay, done with the boring part. Here we go to the not-so-boring part. Introduction: This is an alternate universe where the dragon tribes somehow ended the war in Pantala, peace reigns, and the scho...
